It's time, Goals need to be set, accomplished

So, I seriously thought I'd be back by this blog long before now. Tabula Rasa refers to a clean slate, a chance to write anew.  For me, this blog is going to be about my weight loss efforts. I am now 16 weeks away from my graduation from Nursing school.

In a fit of optimism, I ordered my graduation gown for a 50lb lighter size back in October. Now I am against the time crunch and even if I don't lose the whole 50 lbs, by golly I better lose what I can!

So today is the beginning. My weigh in this morning is 252.6. I've also been having some issues with my blood sugar. I am NOT diabetic... yet.. .but if I don't lose this weight I will be. So my fasting blood sugar this morning was 109. 

My first weight goal is 200 lbs. Be great if I make it by 5/9/12, but anything in that direction is bonus, right?

I am using the Medifast 5 +1 plan. Five Medifast meal replacements with one (lean and green) regular meal.

My exercise program is a combination of Walk Away the Pounds, Zumba for Xbox, and Biggest Loser work out for Xbox.

Today I will be walking 2 miles using the newest WATP kit. The Super Walk that includes the Body Boost cables. Love this new walking program.. 1st mile is warm up and the usual WATP routine we've all come to expect.. the 2nd mile has you putting on these body boost cables and increasing the muscle usage to really boost things up!  I can so feel the muscles working hard! But it is so easy to do! That's the beauty of this new system.

Okay, off to do my workout. I'll report back on the tastes of some of the Medifast meal replacements. OUT!
